the week of August 29, 2010. MOON IN THIRD
When the Moon transits the third house we may expect our communications with others to take on emotional overtones. This may help us to communicate on a deeper feeling level with those close to us. This could be particularly useful in intimate relationships. Siblings may come into play here, Pisces, and if we experience problems we should be sure that these issues do not stem from sibling rivalry from our past. Clear the air, but do so gently if you do experience such difficulties. This does not mean there will be a problem, but you should be aware just in case. Unconscious habit patterns of response could create a problem if we speak before we think, Pisces. This most often shows up in relations with people we have contact with on a regular basis. Sometimes, in these instances, we react on "auto-pilot" and can inadvertently cause friction with those in our daily lives.
MOON IN FOURTH
August 31, 2010 This indicates a time when we are in "home-body" mode and a time when we may withdraw to our homes to relax or to do some puttering around the house. We can, and should, use this time for self-examination. The fourth house is one of the houses associated with the subconscious/unconscious mind as well as our past – the home we grew up in. This could be an aid to reviewing our past, Pisces, and to determine how much influence this still has on us today. We may not wish to be alone right now, but a little bit of solitude at this time is often beneficial. We do not have to spend all of our time alone, however, as this is also a good time to interact with the family. You will probably want to feel more emotionally connected now. Since the Moon is connected to habitual behavior and the fourth house is representative of our early home life, this is a good time for self-examination. If we discover problems this is a good time to correct them, so do attempt to set aside some time for yourself, Pisces. This is the Moon's natural house and the natural sign on this house is Cancer. This should remind us that even though we may want to be emotionally connected at this time, we should avoid the negative side of this which is clinging to those we love. People that feel suffocated often have a desire to flee. The fourth house was traditionally linked to the mother, although some associate this house with the less dominant parent today. So this may indicate a time when we have closer contact with this parent. Although this is a neutral manifestation, it might indicate clearing up a problem from the past or merely a time when we feel a closer bond with this parent.
MOON IN FIFTH
September 3, 2010 With the Moon transiting the fifth house we are likely to see greater emotional intensity in our intimate relationships. This is fine as long as we remember to not become overly possessive. Romance may, however, be a rich and rewarding emotional experience for you, Pisces. Just be sure to remember that they are your emotions and not your partner's that you are feeling. You may want to check to see if they feel the same way. The fifth house is also considered the house of children and they may take on even greater significance now as the nurturing qualities of the Moon seek expression. The caution, Pisces, is to not be overly-protective to the point of stifling growth. Artistic/creative self-expression could be a source for emotional outlet at this time. The Moon has been observed to be prominent in the charts of writers. Maybe you want to consider starting that novel you have been thinking about? However, lunar transits are fast so you will need far more indications than this transit to finish the work. But any creative hobby could prove to be an emotionally gratifying outlet at this time.
SUN IN SEVENTH
When we cross the Descendant into the seventh house, Pisces, we should also endeavor to change our perspective a bit. The first six houses are more personal areas of interest to us, but the seventh through twelfth are houses that symbolize our interactions with the outer world and those that live in it. The seventh house is the area concerned with marriage, formalized or not; business partnerships, public relations, the lower courts, and open enemies, as this is a one-on-one relationship, too, and through conflict we may learn more about ourselves. At this time, Pisces, we need to focus on our relationships. Are we getting what we need and also are we giving what our partner needs as well? Issues such as these may take precedence at this time and if there are any conflicts we may need to make an effort to resolve them. Our focus should not be solely on our own desires. This is not to say that we should expect problems with this transit, but we may become more aware that we are part of a team and that by working in harmony with others we can have more rewarding relationships with them. No one wants to be used or unappreciated, but have you ever noticed the glowing feeling you get when your actions put a smile on another's face? If you are facing problems of any sort in relation to the seventh house, Pisces, and you do not have a partner, you can still reach out to others. This may be a favorable time to look for an advisor of any sort to give you a different perspective on any problems you may be faced with.
MERCURY IN SEVENTH
Retrograde Until September 12, 2010 Mercury's transit of the seventh house is an indication of increased communications with others. This may be on an intimate level, as with our spouse, but could just as easily include business partners. This is also an indication of a time when we might consult with professionals for a variety of reasons. Marriage counseling, if we are experiencing problems in our intimate relationships, could be an issue, but this does not mean we will experience communications difficulties with our mates, Pisces. It could merely indicate that we spend more time talking to one another. Business contracts and negotiations may be enhanced by this transit as well as any legal issues we may be faced with at this time. The main focus of Mercury during this time is that communications with others will be more active now. This is not a good time to keep to ourselves necessarily, Pisces, but to interact with others as Mercury will aid communications now.
MERCURY RETROGRADE TRANSITS
Mercury goes retrograde three times a year for a period of about three weeks. At these times it has been observed that communications can go awry, as well as having difficulties where travel is concerned. Usually, this does not indicate accidents, but there may be flight delays with airlines or lost luggage. Hotel reservations may not work out as expected and so forth. We may get the time wrong for a business appointment or lunch with a friend and so on. Other misunderstandings with communications may occur as well, so strive to be clear about everything. Be sure to dot the I's and cross the T's. These times may not be propitious for contract negotiations or signings. Also, another caution with Mercury retrograde, may concern electronics. This is not usually considered a favorable time for installing new software on a computer as troubles may arise from the new applications. We should also keep in mind at these times that we are advised to back up our computers just in case we experience a computer crash and end up losing work and important data.
VENUS IN EIGHTH
The most obvious manifestation of this transit, Pisces, is that our interest is drawn to the more sexual side of intimacy, but what may not be so apparent is why. This is Pluto's natural house and Pluto symbolizes not only intensity, but transformation as well. The sexual side of relationships will probably be more intense than usual now and this can act as a vehicle to get us in touch with the subconscious/unconscious aspects of our minds. This means that the very intensity that brings more spice and fireworks into our love life, is just as likely to touch upon some very deep issues buried in our psyche. For instance, these issues include jealousy, fear of abandonment, being vindictive toward a partner that disappoints us, and so forth. This does not mean that this is a bad transit, Pisces, but the intensity of this transit may make us feel a bit touchy in this regard. It merely means we are granted an opportunity to get in touch with these deeper aspects of ourselves and transform them. This does indicate that sexual relationships at this time may have a greater impact upon us, for good or ill, so we may want to examine closely any issues surfacing now. For others, this may just indicate some additional zing in our sex lives. Other people's money and jointly-held assets are another concern of the eighth house. With Venus transiting here, Pisces, this could be an indication of financial benefit in these areas. This could perhaps be a time when we might come into an inheritance or possibly obtain a loan we need.
MARS IN EIGHTH
This may prove to be a rather explosive transit, at times, for some people. The reason for this is that this is Pluto’s natural house and Pluto is symbolic of transformation. This transformation might take place because of the proclivity of Mars to engender conflict if expressed in a negative manner. This intensity is also increased because Mars is the co-ruler of the sign Scorpio, and Scorpio is the natural sign of the eighth house. These clashes with others may come into play where any of the eighth-house issues are concerned, Pisces. Sex, for instance, is an extraordinarily powerful emotional experience and may raise issues buried in our unconscious at this time, as the eighth house is associated with the subconscious/unconscious mind. Examine any conflicts of this sort to be certain you are responding to the present case rather than some issue from the past, Pisces. In this instance, your partner may be able to aid your transformation and lay the problem to rest. Jointly-held resources could become a source of conflict, Pisces, as could the foolish waste of your assets at this time. This could be a time to iron out any difficulties along these lines and to keep spending in check. Taxes might become an issue, Pisces, and this does not mean you will have a problem here. This could be a good time to check with advisors to find means to reduce your tax bill legally so that you can keep more of the money you earn.
JUPITER IN SECOND
Retrograde Until November 17, 2010 Jupiter's influence now will be felt along the lines of money, personal possessions and personal values. There is an old saying, Pisces – "Be careful what you wish for; you just might get it!" Astrologically this is never more certain than with a Jupiter transit. We can increase our income now, Pisces, but we should be cautious about our motives in this regard. We all would like a degree of financial security but, if we are not careful in our pursuit of this goal, quite often we may sacrifice the very thing we wanted the financial security for – our freedom. I personally believe that possessions have an uncanny knack for possessing the very people that own them. This is sort of like being a slave, Pisces, although the chains you are shackled in may be made of gold, they are chains nonetheless! This is a good time to increase your income but do plan carefully. This could also be a time to make wise investments. But again, keep in mind the downside of Jupiter’s energy and do not overextend yourself, which could lead to problems later on if things should get tight financially. Remember, this transit will not last forever. The one warning with Jupiter here, as with Venus, is to be on your guard about lavish spending, Pisces. This could be cause for regret later when we realize our expenditures were rather foolish.
JUPITER RETROGRADE TRANSITS When transiting Jupiter turns retrograde, it affords us an opportunity to reassess where we may have exceeded the bounds of practicality. Have we overextended ourselves in business or in any other way for that matter? Now we have a chance to reevaluate our endeavors and to determine if our enthusiasm needs to be reined in a bit. This is a time to plan and prepare for opportunities that may present themselves when Jupiter turns direct again. Now is the time to determine if the course you are on, or the opportunities presented to you, are what you really want for yourself. SATURN IN EIGHTH
The eighth house includes jointly-held resources, sex, death, taxes, inheritances and so forth. Also, while the second house represents our personal values, the eighth house directly opposite, represents the values of others that we come in contact with. Any of these issues may be the source of confrontation now. This is a time when we should attempt to be as financially self-sufficient as possible. We may not have easy access to the financial resources of others now. Consequently, Pisces, this is not a good time to get a loan or financial backing from others as these resources likely will not be available to us now. Sexual values could be a bit troublesome for us now, or perhaps this area of our lives will bring issues to the surface that we need to deal with. The eighth house is aligned with Pluto and transformation. If this issue should surface now, in all likelihood it may be rather painful, but dealing with this appropriately can leave us feeling a greater sense of inner-security. Death may enter our lives in some way but this is not the usual case, of course. This may be a good time to make considerations for the welfare of our families when our eventual demise does arrive. Property settlements, should divorce occur, will not usually prove favorable during this transit. As usual, the greater the animosity in the relationship, the more this is likely to cost now. I would recommend that you do not even consider cheating on your taxes, Pisces, and particularly with this transit. This could, and probably will, come back to haunt you. This may be a favorable time to find ways to save on your tax bill. Just be certain everything is legal and aboveboard. Check to be sure that everything is as it should be and when you are through – check it again. The eighth house is related to transformation, and with Saturn transiting here these issues are frequently fearful and not a little painful. This may be a trying time, as Saturn transits often are, but it affords us an opportunity to build stronger foundations for our own sense of inner-security. In the eighth house, as in all the houses related to the subconscious/unconscious mind, this transformation may entail issues stemming from our past and we may be very reluctant to deal with them. We must keep in mind, though, that if we ever wish to free ourselves from the grip of our fears we must face these issues and deal with them accordingly. If necessary, Pisces, seek out professional help in this regard, or with any eighth-house issues now. For although this may be painful, we stand to make solid gains in this area now. The most important confrontations we have now may very well be with ourselves. Transformation now is aided by this.
URANUS IN FIRST
Retrograde Until December 5, 2010 The first is associated with our personal interests, and with this transit we tend to feel an urge for change. We may experience this as a pervasive restlessness and, particularly if we feel as though we have been held back by others or ourselves, we are inclined to become rebellious. This is as it should be if you feel the need for change, but it fosters far less resistance if we do this in an appropriate manner. We, as well as others, may not feel completely comfortable with these changes. It may seem both to ourselves and to others as if we are taking on a new persona. This will make us feel great tension if we feel we have been held back far too long and will no longer tolerate it, or if we have held ourselves back in order to conform to the wishes of others. The more we resist these changes, Pisces, the more tension we are likely to feel and the more disruptive our lives may become until we tune into what needs change. In some cases this could indicate the end of relationships, both business and personal, if these do not allow us the personal freedom to be ourselves we feel we need now. The more we feel tied down by life’s circumstances and our own self-restrictions, the more radical our rebellion is likely to be. Uranus is considered the higher-octave of Mercury and Mercury is linked to our perceptions. This transit can broaden our perspective and open our lives to change and broader horizons if we allow it to do so. This transit is disruptive only to the extent that we are fearful of the changes called for now. Upsetting experiences are a clue that change is fighting to get out. This could also be a time to be mindful of accidents, Pisces, particularly if you are resistant to the changes that need to take place now.
URANUS RETROGRADE TRANSITS This is a favorable time to observe the changes in the world around you and to assess the impact these changes may have upon you on a personal level. This period of review may help you to adjust your course if the changes taking place around you seem to be impeding your progress, or may block it in the future. Observe and plan for now and postpone any changes until Uranus turns direct again. NEPTUNE IN TWELFTH
Retrograde Until November 7, 2010 It is said that the twelfth house represents our transit through the chart and indicates an area where we wish to rejoin with the collective of everything in creation. Sigmund Freud was once said to liken this to a desire to return to the womb-state when we were one with all of creation. Neptune’s transit of the twelfth house may stir similar feelings within us and we may begin to question the ultimate meaning of our existence on a personal level. Some people may attempt to find this centering in the area of religion or other personal spiritual philosophy. But, Pisces, ultimately the way we find this is a matter of individual choice and preference. The goal, however, for most people, is the same – how are we ultimately a part of everything, and what is it we need in our lives and what path do we have to follow to achieve this for ourselves? This is an attempt to find a sense of spiritual peace for ourselves and to discover the path we feel we must follow in order to find it. This could be an emotionally trying time for some individuals, Pisces, as are many planetary transits of the twelfth house. Keep in mind though that Neptune also opens a door for us to gain greater insight to the subconscious/unconscious mind. This can help us to deal with any turmoil that might arise now. Look closely at conditions surrounding the twelfth house for clues as to how to better deal with any issues that may arise now. Signs on the twelfth house, and any planets posited here, might indicate issues we have greater access to and can deal with in a healthier manner now.
NEPTUNE RETROGRADE TRANSITS This is a time when we are advised to try to tune into our unconscious mind and examine what we find lying there. Assess your fears or any illusions you may be laboring under and try to ground them in reality in order to deal with them more effectively. Anything that leaves us feeling we are in a state of confusion should be dealt with also. Assess also if this may be connected to what is going on in the world around you. Endeavor to use your energy in a positive and productive manner and avoid escapism of any sort. Although Neptune is nebulous, we need to strive for clarity now in order to keep from deceiving ourselves and to deal with any issues confronting us in a practical manner. PLUTO IN ELEVENTH
Retrograde Until September 14, 2010 Pluto's energy for transformation will now be directed toward professional organizations, groups we associate with, our friends, and our hopes and wishes for the future. But keep in mind, Pisces, this is ultimately a personal transformation and that all of the above are merely vehicles to achieve this end. We may find our friendships ending now as they no longer seem to fit our current needs in this area. New friendships may form and these may be with people in positions of power or, keeping with the influence of Pluto, powerfully intense. Not all of these encounters may be pleasant, Pisces, but they may have a profound influence on us and engender the transformation taking place in this area of our lives now. Our personal goals and objectives may undergo the influence of Pluto's transformation. We may find that things that were once quite important to us are no longer so. It may take some time for us to find new interests to replace the old but, due to the slow movement of Pluto, we will have plenty of time to do so. As always with Pluto's transits, Pisces, a person may enter our life that has a powerful influence over us. Strive to be sure that this is a positive influence and not a negative one, which could occur now. Pluto can symbolize shady characters and ruthless individuals. It might not be wise to associate with people of this caliber now. The potential for problems may be too great. I have also observed this in the charts of people concerning romantic affairs. In some cases, Pisces, the native is used with cold and deliberate calculation by the partner that bleeds them of everything they can before callously tossing them aside for a new victim; almost like a leech seeking a new meal and probably with even less sensitivity. Obviously, this is not at first apparent to the victim in question, but they are usually left with little doubt in hindsight. If you should find yourself in a new relationship, Pisces, be careful about your partner’s motives. If you begin feeling that the relationship is one-sided yet your partner is accusing you of being withholding, it is very likely that you have a manipulative partner that is out to get all they can from you and give as little as possible in return. My advice – Run like hell and do not look back! In a case such as this, the negative influences listed above may very well color your entire outlook on relationships and obviously not for the better. It is far more productive to scrutinize these types of relationships carefully now.
PLUTO RETROGRADE TRANSITS As usual with any retrograde planetary motion, this is a time to step back and review our endeavors and to reassess what direction we are taking and just what it is we wish to accomplish. This is a favorable time to evaluate our progress toward our goals, but also to determine how these objectives may benefit others as well. We need to become aware of how we not only influence our own lives, but the lives of others, too.
