the week of August 29, 2010. MOON IN SIXTH
The Moon may not feel too comfortable here in the house of health and work and service to others. We may feel the need to smother our emotions in the work environment, but this should not take on the proportions of emotional repression. We all have emotions; we just need to learn to express them in an appropriate manner and this is certainly important in our work-day life. Lunar transits are so rapid that you probably will not experience a health problem, Sagittarius, but this should point out to all of us the connection between body and mind. Repressed emotions can lead to health problems if we continually swallow our emotions. Deal with the issues appropriately, Sagittarius, and you minimize risks to your health over the long-haul. At this time we may feel a closer bond with co-workers. If we do experience problems at work now, we should check our responses and see if there is any connection to our past that may be influencing us to respond inappropriately.
MOON IN SEVENTH
August 31, 2010 When the Moon transits the seventh house we will see relationships imbued with even more emotionalism than usual. This need not be negative, Sagittarius, but often is due to our own insecurities and habitual unconscious reaction patterns which, during this time, may be used against us. If faced with relationship difficulties at this time, be certain that reaction patterns are not linked to the past and clouding the present situation. Emotional intensity will usually mark this transit, Sagittarius, for good or ill. Dealings with our loved ones may be on a much deeper level as long as we avoid possessiveness, but dealings with enemies will be emotionally charged as well. Most of us have a desire for relationships with others, but we should all endeavor to find security within ourselves. This can take the pressure off our relationships as we then enter into them through desire rather than need. We will normally desire more closeness with our loved ones now, but this also gives us the opportunity to examine our motives concerning these relationships.
MOON IN EIGHTH
September 3, 2010 The eighth house is Pluto's natural house and one of the keywords for Pluto is intensity. This will intensify the emotional reactions of the Moon during this transit. Added to this we have some very emotionally charged issues represented in the eighth house – money and sex = power. Remember also, Sagittarius, that this is one of the houses of the unconscious and responses here, as with the Moon, may be linked to our past. This could manifest as emotionally gratifying unions with our intimate partners, but sometimes these issues can lead to difficulties. If problems should arise, Sagittarius, we should attempt to look within ourselves for these answers instead of immediately placing the blame on others. The emotionally charged issues of sex and money can act as doorways or catalysts to self-examination of our expectations and needs. This could act as an aid to transformation – another keyword for Pluto. This transformation could help us to feel more control over our responses, Sagittarius, and actually that is all we can control anyway.
SUN IN TENTH
The tenth house is associated with our dominant parent, which we may have closer association with at this time. For most of us, however, this house puts the issues of our career and public image uppermost in our minds. This may indicate a promotion in our line of work along with added responsibilities. Do not try to bluff your way through this, Sagittarius, or you could end up in trouble when your façade begins to crumble. Usually, your superiors look upon you favorably, but you should be honest and represent yourself accordingly. You can be helped in your endeavors by those above you willing to give you a chance if you show a willingness to cooperate and be forthright. This transit is favorable for those looking to get ahead in life as long as the above-mentioned warnings are heeded. This also grants the energy to pursue our goals, so this is a time to go for it, Sagittarius!
MERCURY IN TENTH
Retrograde Until September 12, 2010 This transit will usually bring career concerns to the forefront of your mind. This will aid communications with superiors and may help to lay the foundation for a future promotion from the groundwork you do now. If you are self-employed, Sagittarius, this might be a good time to address the public image aspects of the tenth house through planning advertising campaigns to increase business. This is also a good time to scrutinize procedures to increase efficiency, Sagittarius, but be careful to avoid the trap of becoming so bogged down in minutiae that you hinder productivity. This is the Virgo characteristic of Mercury's influence that could cause problems at this time. Do not get so mired in details that you miss the brass ring, Sagittarius. Although we may not see the rewards now, this is an excellent time to lay the groundwork and plan for future advancement.
MERCURY RETROGRADE TRANSITS
Mercury goes retrograde three times a year for a period of about three weeks. At these times it has been observed that communications can go awry, as well as having difficulties where travel is concerned. Usually, this does not indicate accidents, but there may be flight delays with airlines or lost luggage. Hotel reservations may not work out as expected and so forth. We may get the time wrong for a business appointment or lunch with a friend and so on. Other misunderstandings with communications may occur as well, so strive to be clear about everything. Be sure to dot the I's and cross the T's. These times may not be propitious for contract negotiations or signings. Also, another caution with Mercury retrograde, may concern electronics. This is not usually considered a favorable time for installing new software on a computer as troubles may arise from the new applications. We should also keep in mind at these times that we are advised to back up our computers just in case we experience a computer crash and end up losing work and important data.
VENUS IN ELEVENTH
The eleventh house is considered the house of friends, professional organizations, and goals and objectives. With the transit of Venus here, any or all of these areas of our lives may benefit. We will most likely be in the mood for socializing with friends more now, Sagittarius. This could be a good time to attend parties or throw one of our own. Business meetings or conferences will probably be more harmonious at this time as well. Through these associations, as well as through our friends, we may inadvertently find ways to achieve the goals and objectives we have represented in the eleventh house. This could indicate becoming romantically involved with someone that we had only thought of as a friend before, Sagittarius, but now seem to see with new eyes. The same romantic potential could exist with someone we meet through a professional or social organization we belong to, or perhaps while attending a conference of some sort.
MARS IN ELEVENTH
The eleventh house represents groups, professional organizations, friends, and the hopes, wishes, goals and objectives we have. This is the key for productive use of the energy of Mars at this time. This is not a good time to go it alone, Sagittarius, for we will, in all likelihood, achieve far more by working in harmony with others. This is not to say that we should abandon our own personal objectives, but that we should align these goals with the purpose of others. This can get us any aid we might need or a different perspective on how to better pursue our own interests. So by being a team player, Sagittarius, we can more easily satisfy the egocentric drive of Mars to achieve our own ends. And keep in mind that achieving our own ends is what Mars is all about. With this transit we would be better off going about it in a more roundabout way. Even socializing with our friends now may hold some hidden benefits. If we are feeling stress now, a good way to release stress associated with Mars is to be physically active. Exercise or sports would prove to be beneficial now, Sagittarius, and particularly team sports where the group works toward a common goal.
JUPITER IN FIFTH
Retrograde Until November 17, 2010 The fifth house is indicative of how we like to play and be ourselves, among other things. With Jupiter transiting here we may simply want to enjoy ourselves. This might be a good time for it, because Jupiter transits are not usually noted for fostering a lot of ambition in most people, although these are times we can more readily profit from a transit if we choose to apply ourselves. Relations with children are favored by this transit, Sagittarius, both with your own and the children of others. This is also said to be favorable for romance and even if a new relationship does not start now, existing relationships will benefit from this transit. If a new relationship does start now it could be with a foreigner, as Jupiter is the natural ruler of the ninth house related to foreigners. Whatever the case, Sagittarius, relationships now may open an avenue for learning more about ourselves and the world at large. Artistic/creative self-expression is said to get a major boost from this transit. If you ever wanted to express yourself creatively, Sagittarius, this is one of the most favorable times you could find for this endeavor. Also, creative projects can be more financially rewarding now than at most other times. The fifth house is also the house of gambling and speculation so now might be a good time to profit in this regard. As always with Jupiter, Sagittarius, be careful of overextending yourself, as this could lead to problems as this is Jupiter's usual downfall.
JUPITER RETROGRADE TRANSITS When transiting Jupiter turns retrograde, it affords us an opportunity to reassess where we may have exceeded the bounds of practicality. Have we overextended ourselves in business or in any other way for that matter? Now we have a chance to reevaluate our endeavors and to determine if our enthusiasm needs to be reined in a bit. This is a time to plan and prepare for opportunities that may present themselves when Jupiter turns direct again. Now is the time to determine if the course you are on, or the opportunities presented to you, are what you really want for yourself. SATURN IN ELEVENTH
This house was once ruled by Saturn, but now rulership of this house is given to Uranus and Saturn is considered to be the co-ruler. This is the house of groups; professional organizations, friends, hopes, dreams, goals and objectives. With Saturn's transit here, Sagittarius, we might have to align ourselves with others in some way. This may involve more responsibilities in professional organizations, particularly if we were granted more authority when Saturn transited the tenth house. Consequently, we may have to rely more on group efforts to achieve our objectives and share the glory accordingly. Thismay not be a time of purely personal achievement for most people. If we have not prepared ourselves properly and failed at our attempts at advancement, this transit may show us that our dreams may not come to fruition as we had hoped and leave little doubt that we must try again. Since Saturn takes so long to transit the chart, for most people this will be a bitter pill to swallow indeed. Friendships may be a bit strained now and, as always with Saturn transits, this may indicate the end of a relationship. As always, should this prove to be the case, let go of the relationship and move on. Learn what you can from the experience and put it to use in other relationships. This may simply be a case of friends that grew apart during the course of life.
URANUS IN FOURTH
Retrograde Until December 5, 2010 This transit of Uranus has the potential to be quite unsettling, for some people. This is because of the tendency for this to hit us where we live both literally, in a domestic sense and figuratively, in the psychological sense. We must remain, as with all transits of Uranus, as flexible and open to change as possible. Since the fourth house is one of the houses associated with the subconscious/unconscious mind and our past, this has the prospect of being rather disturbing. For some individuals, Sagittarius, this is a time of changing residence or having to do unexpected repairs on our homes. This is also associated with the endings of relationships as Uranus calls for freedom and we are possibly unable to salvage an existing relationship. Although the eighth house is associated with death, the fourth house is related to our final resting place in the earth. Accordingly, in more extreme cases, this could symbolize the loss of a loved one through death. This is most probably a time of internal turmoil for some people as what is buried in our unconscious tries to boil its way to the surface. As with all transits of Uranus, we should not try to avoid what is trying to break through. To do so will, in all likelihood, only make the tension worse. Instead, try to get in touch with the changes you need to make now, and in this way these changes will be less disruptive. The more we help these changes the less traumatic they will tend to be. This may be a troubling time, but if dealt with properly can also become a time of great liberation.
URANUS RETROGRADE TRANSITS This is a favorable time to observe the changes in the world around you and to assess the impact these changes may have upon you on a personal level. This period of review may help you to adjust your course if the changes taking place around you seem to be impeding your progress, or may block it in the future. Observe and plan for now and postpone any changes until Uranus turns direct again. NEPTUNE IN THIRD
Retrograde Until November 7, 2010 Neptune's fog-enshrouded confusion usually shows up with this transit in the areas of communications, particularly with neighbors, siblings and other close relatives, our dealings and interactions with others in our everyday environment and even in our thinking processes. It is particularly important, Sagittarius, to be as clear as possible in our communications to avoid misunderstandings in the future. Also, any business or contract negotiations have to be scrutinized carefully to avoid misunderstandings as well as to avoid being swindled, which may always be a possibility with a Neptune transit. On a more personal level, Sagittarius, our thinking processes may undergo a transformation of sorts and we may begin to question the ultimate purpose of our being and how this links us to the collective of humanity. The deeper questions of our existence may come into our consciousness and we may change our entire attitude toward life, and our direction in life, as a result of the questions surfacing in our minds now. This transit may have a powerful influence on some individuals where creativity is concerned. This may open doorways to possibilities in this regard that were previously unknown to us, or ignored by us as being too impractical. However, Sagittarius, be aware of the line between creativity and self-delusion. The latter may come into play at this time, too.
NEPTUNE RETROGRADE TRANSITS This is a time when we are advised to try to tune into our unconscious mind and examine what we find lying there. Assess your fears or any illusions you may be laboring under and try to ground them in reality in order to deal with them more effectively. Anything that leaves us feeling we are in a state of confusion should be dealt with also. Assess also if this may be connected to what is going on in the world around you. Endeavor to use your energy in a positive and productive manner and avoid escapism of any sort. Although Neptune is nebulous, we need to strive for clarity now in order to keep from deceiving ourselves and to deal with any issues confronting us in a practical manner. PLUTO IN SECOND
Retrograde Until September 14, 2010 When Pluto transits the second house, we commonly see transformation in the areas of material assets, our personal values, and perhaps our innate talents and gifts. This could indicate some sort of breakdown in how we acquire our income. Although this may be troubling at first, it merely indicates a shift in our material resources. Sagittarius, this does not mean that we are doomed to bankruptcy, but simply that the source of our income may be changing. The initial breakdown phase of a Pluto transit is what we tend to find troubling. When we first see these changes on the horizon it may indicate, for a time, a decrease in our earning capacity. This is to be expected, however, as we are transforming this area of our lives. After we have set up a new method of securing our income we can expect that there will be a comparable improvement to our income even though at first this is not usually the case. Our personal values are even more likely to be influenced by this transit, Sagittarius. We may not be quite as aware of this, however, because financial considerations may prove to be rather worrisome, at least at first. This can keep us from focusing on the transformation to our value system, but perhaps this is where we should focus our attention now. To do so may very well open the doors to possibilities we had never considered before. This could be a time when we can benefit from a talentwe had never considered to be of much use before.
PLUTO RETROGRADE TRANSITS As usual with any retrograde planetary motion, this is a time to step back and review our endeavors and to reassess what direction we are taking and just what it is we wish to accomplish. This is a favorable time to evaluate our progress toward our goals, but also to determine how these objectives may benefit others as well. We need to become aware of how we not only influence our own lives, but the lives of others, too.
