MOON IN SIXTH

The Moon may not feel too comfortable here in the house of health and work and service to others. We may feel the need to smother our emotions in the work environment, but this should not take on the proportions of emotional repression. We all have emotions; we just need to learn to express them in an appropriate manner and this is certainly important in our work-day life.

Lunar transits are so rapid that you probably will not experience a health problem, Sagittarius, but this should point out to all of us the connection between body and mind. Repressed emotions can lead to health problems if we continually swallow our emotions. Deal with the issues appropriately, Sagittarius, and you minimize risks to your health over the long-haul.

At this time we may feel a closer bond with co-workers. If we do experience problems at work now, we should check our responses and see if there is any connection to our past that may be influencing us to respond inappropriately.

MOON IN SEVENTH
February 1, 2012

When the Moon transits the seventh house we will see relationships imbued with even more emotionalism than usual. This need not be negative, Sagittarius, but often is due to our own insecurities and habitual unconscious reaction patterns which, during this time, may be used against us. If faced with relationship difficulties at this time, be certain that reaction patterns are not linked to the past and clouding the present situation.

Emotional intensity will usually mark this transit, Sagittarius, for good or ill. Dealings with our loved ones may be on a much deeper level as long as we avoid possessiveness, but dealings with enemies will be emotionally charged as well.

Most of us have a desire for relationships with others, but we should all endeavor to find security within ourselves. This can take the pressure off our relationships as we then enter into them through desire rather than need. We will normally desire more closeness with our loved ones now, but this also gives us the opportunity to examine our motives concerning these relationships.

MOON IN EIGHTH
February 4, 2012

The eighth house is Pluto's natural house and one of the keywords for Pluto is intensity. This will intensify the emotional reactions of the Moon during this transit. Added to this we have some very emotionally charged issues represented in the eighth house – money and sex = power. Remember also, Sagittarius, that this is one of the houses of the unconscious and responses here, as with the Moon, may be linked to our past.

This could manifest as emotionally gratifying unions with our intimate partners, but sometimes these issues can lead to difficulties. If problems should arise, Sagittarius, we should attempt to look within ourselves for these answers instead of immediately placing the blame on others. The emotionally charged issues of sex and money can act as doorways or catalysts to self-examination of our expectations and needs. This could act as an aid to transformation – another keyword for Pluto. This transformation could help us to feel more control over our responses, Sagittarius, and actually that is all we can control anyway.

MOON IN NINTH
February 6, 2012

The transit of the Moon through the ninth house may mark a period of restlessness for us. This may be more of a mental or spiritual restlessness rather than an urge for travel. A new area of study may come to our attention that offers emotional gratification, Sagittarius, but this could also be a time when our religious or spiritual pursuits may offer the same sort of satisfaction.

MOON IN TENTH
February 8, 2012

The tenth house is related to our career and our public image. This may be a time when we are more emotionally in tune with those we come in contact with in our career. Keep in mind that emotions are on public display at this time as well, Sagittarius, so any displays of emotion you may want to ensure are appropriate for the moment. This may be a time when we reveal more about ourselves through emotional reactions than we wish to.

The tenth house also represents the dominant parent and could indicate some interaction with this parent at this time. Since career is tied in here, we might also find ourselves questioning whether our choice of career was to please ourselves or to inadvertently gain the approval of a parent.

MOON IN ELEVENTH
February 10, 2012

The eleventh house contains friends, professional organizations, and our hopes, wishes and goals in life. With the Moon transiting the eleventh house we may find our emotions coming into play in any of these areas. As always, Sagittarius, watch for inappropriate emotional responses and, as with all transits of the Moon, this could be an indication of females or at least one woman playing a larger role in this area now.

This could be a time of connecting with friends on a deeper level, Sagittarius, and further strengthening the bonds between us. It could also indicate a time when we are apt to examine our goals, dreams and objectives to find how to better make these dreams a reality, or to determine if they are unrealistic after all.

In any of these areas, Sagittarius, as with all lunar transits, we should watch for emotional responses that stem from our past and may have little to do with the present situation. This will almost guarantee an inappropriate response to the present moment. If this should be the case, do not despair, Sagittarius. As with all transits of the Moon, this can give us a window into the past so that we can adjust our behavior and responses to the present moment and free ourselves from negative response patterns.

MOON IN TWELFTH
February 12, 2012

When the Moon transits the twelfth house we may feel a bit uneasy and the reason for this can actually be quite beneficial if we take advantage of it. The twelfth is one of the houses that symbolizes the subconscious/unconscious mind as well as where we find characteristics about ourselves that we tend to repress. Along with the Moon representing the past, this affords us a great opportunity.

This transit can be used for self-examination of all the issues we tend to hide from others as well as ourselves. If we look at these characteristics we can find ways to enable expression of these traits to our benefit and add more to our lives. We probably will not feel very sociable at this time, but that can help us withdraw a bit for the self-examination that can be so beneficial now. Anything we have lurking in our subconscious or try to repress has a tendency to trip us up. With this transit, Sagittarius, we may find what these stumbling blocks are and find more appropriate ways to deal with them.

Relationships with women may be a bit touchy now, Sagittarius, but do not overlook the possibility of a female helping us, in the role of a confidante, to resolve some of these issues we come across here.

SUN IN THIRD

The third house represents communication, our immediate environment, siblings, close relatives, neighbors, early education and so forth. At this time, communications with these people may become energized in some way. Short journeys are included in the third house so we may be doing a bit more traveling at this time as well. Sagittarius, you may also consider studying a new subject or take advantage of continuing education for some reason. Communication could include writing or possibly electronic communications of some sort. Some consider the third house to be associated with commerce, so we might also see more activity here.

MERCURY IN THIRD

This is one of Mercury's natural houses, the other being the sixth house, so Mercury may operate with a bit more intensity here.

Communications of all sorts will be amplified, Sagittarius, and this would include communications with siblings, neighbors and close relatives. Some astrologers link the third house with commerce, so communications or planning along these lines may come into focus as well.

The third house is associated with the immediate environment, so we may experience more short-distance travel at this time, Sagittarius. Early education is symbolized here, so we may adopt new intellectual pursuits now, or possibly communicate to others our newfound interests.

VENUS IN FOURTH

The fourth house represents the domestic sphere; the home we grew up in, the home we wish to make for ourselves as adults, the past, and the less influential parent in our development.

The transit of Venus through the fourth house indicates a time when we can really relax at home or may be a time when we may want to throw a party and invite our friends into our homes. This might also be a time, Sagittarius, to decide to remodel our home. Even though we may not undertake the work now, as we may feel too peaceful, it may be a good time to plan future renovations. Whether we throw a party or spruce up the house, we should be cautious of over-indulgence and over-spending.

This may indicate an easy time with our parents, Sagittarius, and particularly the parent represented by this house. This could be an indication of a good time to take a vacation with our parents and family, or possibly have them come visit us for awhile.

VENUS IN FIFTH
February 8, 2012

The fifth-house interests include romance, children, artistic/creative self-expression, financial speculation and gambling. This is the area of the chart where we like to play.

When Venus transits here, Sagittarius, we may be a bit more interested than usual in having a good time. We may have an interest in expressing ourselves creatively, at least at the level of a hobby. As usual though, Venus may not afford the drive to do anything seriously long-term if we do not have the drive, as Venus in the fifth house indicates our primary interest is to enjoy ourselves.

This is also a time when we may enjoy our children more than usual. We should get along with children quite well now and feel more loving toward them.

Where creativity is concerned, Sagittarius, if we are not creatively inclined ourselves this could indicate a time when we are more capable of appreciating the creativity of others, usually in the form of music or art.

Financial speculation could bring monetary gain now as could a little gambling but, as with all Venus transits, it would be wise to be careful about expenditures along these lines as you could always lose.

Romance is normally given a boost with this transit, Sagittarius, and quite often we are more romantically and socially inclined than usual. If we are already involved, this could indicate a time when we are more romantic with our partner.

MARS IN TENTH
Retrograde Until April 13, 2012

We can make great strides forward at this time providing we keep the usual warning about the negative expression of Mars' energy in check. If we do not do so, we may expect conflict in the career area of our lives such as with employers, bosses or any authority figurers now, and possibly co-workers.

This might also include our parents and particularly the more influential parent in our development. Of course, Sagittarius, we should stand up for ourselves when necessary, but choose your battles carefully. Is there really anything important at stake? Needless conflict now will undermine a transit that can afford us a marvelous opportunity to get ahead; and instead of moving forward with help from those involved, we end up merely putting obstacles in our path and making advancement, which could have been ours, even more difficult to attain.

As with Mars' transit of the sixth house, this may be a good time to work alone if at all possible, Sagittarius. We do not want to be hindered by authority figures or co-workers that may be slower than we are, or that may possibly have their own agenda.

Energy levels are high now, Sagittarius, and we can easily impress superiors with our energy and can-do attitude. We will do this much more effectively if we do this in the spirit of harmony and teamwork. To do otherwise can nullify all the progress we could have made now, or at least make achievement far more difficult to attain, by creating resistance instead of cooperation.

MARS RETROGRADE TRANSITS

Where Mars retrograde transits are concerned, this may indicate a time when we may need to adjust our current course in life. Whether that course is related to relationships or business, we may need to reassess what we are doing or alter it; to be sure we are headed in the direction we wish to follow.

Another indication is that things from the past that still irk us, or things we did not deal with properly, may resurface now. This affords us an opportunity to reevaluate these things and take the appropriate steps to deal with these issues now. We may have to learn an appropriate, healthy expression of anger or possibly learn to be more assertive.

When Mars is retrograde, it is not usually considered a favorable time to begin new ventures. This is a time for Mars energy to be directed inward, so that we may assess where we are going and review our strategies for getting there. When we do otherwise now, we usually run into unforeseen obstacles that tend to thwart our progress.

JUPITER IN SIXTH

This transit is favorable for your work life, but we must apply ourselves to this task and, for some people, this is anathema to a Jupiter transit. Jupiter indicates times when we may prefer ease over toil. However, if we discipline ourselves now we can benefit ourselves in our workday environment.

We can favorably impress superiors now with what we can accomplish, Sagittarius. This could lead to greater responsibility and opportunity, even though these rewards may not be immediate. This also often indicates a time when we have good relations with our fellow co-workers. If you are looking for a job, Sagittarius, this transit can be useful to not only finding a better job that affords more opportunities, but better pay and benefits as well. This transit can aid all areas of our work life, and with greater ease at achieving these goals, but we must be willing to take action for this to benefit us.

Health is usually good now, Sagittarius, but we must heed the usual warning where Jupiter is concerned, and that is to avoid over-indulgence. This is one of the Jupiter transits that are associated with gaining weight. If problems should arise with our health now, it is almost always attributable to too many fattening or sweet foods or over-indulgence in drink. Your health will be good now but keep it this way and heed the warnings.

SATURN IN ELEVENTH
Retrograde February 7, 2012

This house was once ruled by Saturn, but now rulership of this house is given to Uranus and Saturn is considered to be the co-ruler.

This is the house of groups; professional organizations, friends, hopes, dreams, goals and objectives. With Saturn's transit here, Sagittarius, we might have to align ourselves with others in some way. This may involve more responsibilities in professional organizations, particularly if we were granted more authority when Saturn transited the tenth house. Consequently, we may have to rely more on group efforts to achieve our objectives and share the glory accordingly. Thismay not be a time of purely personal achievement for most people.

If we have not prepared ourselves properly and failed at our attempts at advancement, this transit may show us that our dreams may not come to fruition as we had hoped and leave little doubt that we must try again. Since Saturn takes so long to transit the chart, for most people this will be a bitter pill to swallow indeed.

Friendships may be a bit strained now and, as always with Saturn transits, this may indicate the end of a relationship. As always, should this prove to be the case, let go of the relationship and move on. Learn what you can from the experience and put it to use in other relationships. This may simply be a case of friends that grew apart during the course of life.

SATURN RETROGRADE TRANSITS

This is a time to reexamine any structures, systems, organizations and policies inundating our lives. This may be a favorable time to revamp any of these for greater efficiency and productivity.

This is an opportune time to assess our own power and authority and to be honest with ourselves in this regard. We need to assess if we are holding ourselves back, or allowing others to do so, in some way. We need to learn how to fit in so that we may achieve our goals. We need to be objective about what we want and what others expect from us. Consequently, this may be a favorable time to reassess our relationships, both personal and business, and to determine which may need work and are salvageable, and those which we may have to let go.

URANUS IN FIFTH

This transit is far more pleasant, by comparison, than the transit of Uranus through the fourth house. Though we may experience problems here, we must not fail to adapt and be flexible in order to make the most of our opportunities now.

Romantic relationships may be an issue with this transit and, as with Saturn’s transit here, this could be an indication of an above-average age difference. This is said to be more of an eye-to-eye approach for a couple rather than the student/teacher connotation of Saturn transiting the fifth house.

If we are creative, we may take a very new approach to artistic/creative self-expression now. It is as if Uranus liberates our minds and allows us new avenues of expression we had previously denied ourselves or were unaware of. Those that express themselves this way tend to find this a very exciting and productive time.

Children are another fifth-house issue and we may experience them behaving more rebelliously now. Remember to set boundaries, Sagittarius, but do not try to squelch their spirit of independence. Do not let this go too far, however, as in extreme cases this transit has been associated with accidents and illness in children.

The fifth house is associated with gambling and financial speculation as well. As always with Uranus, expect the unexpected. That is to say, do not overextend yourself. Uranus has the potential for windfalls, but is also associated with sudden losses.

NEPTUNE IN THIRD

Neptune's fog-enshrouded confusion usually shows up with this transit in the areas of communications, particularly with neighbors, siblings and other close relatives, our dealings and interactions with others in our everyday environment and even in our thinking processes.

It is particularly important, Sagittarius, to be as clear as possible in our communications to avoid misunderstandings in the future. Also, any business or contract negotiations have to be scrutinized carefully to avoid misunderstandings as well as to avoid being swindled, which may always be a possibility with a Neptune transit.

On a more personal level, Sagittarius, our thinking processes may undergo a transformation of sorts and we may begin to question the ultimate purpose of our being and how this links us to the collective of humanity. The deeper questions of our existence may come into our consciousness and we may change our entire attitude toward life, and our direction in life, as a result of the questions surfacing in our minds now.

This transit may have a powerful influence on some individuals where creativity is concerned. This may open doorways to possibilities in this regard that were previously unknown to us, or ignored by us as being too impractical. However, Sagittarius, be aware of the line between creativity and self-delusion. The latter may come into play at this time, too.

NEPTUNE IN FOURTH
February 3, 2012

During this time, Sagittarius, we may experience a sense of insecurity, and this is probably attributable to Neptune’s influence on our unconscious mind. We may not be clear exactly about how we are changing on this inner level, which can add to the confusion. Be patient with yourself in this regard and if these issues, which may stem from your past, become too troubling, do not be afraid to seek out some sort of counseling to help clear up any confusion that may exist. This will not only help you to deal with any insecurity now in dealing with your past, but also help to keep you grounded in reality.

There may be troubling events in the domestic sphere, Sagittarius, that can be difficult to clarify or to get a handle on now. This is typical of the illusory qualities attributable to Neptune. Be as clear as possible with your housemates, but be aware that Neptune can symbolize deception, so keep in mind that others may be misleading you.

This can be a favorable time for home renovations and for attempting to build or remodel an existing home to more accurately reflect our ideas of what the ideal home should be. Keep yourself grounded here, Sagittarius, for while attempting to make our homes more of a reflection of what we want, Neptune's ideals may be just too far removed from reality for them to be attainable, thus leaving us disappointed.

Under extreme circumstances, this transit is said to have a negative influence on the health of a parent. Of course, if this is the case, it would most likely be the parent symbolized by this house. This is, however, a rare occurrence.

PLUTO IN SECOND

When Pluto transits the second house, we commonly see transformation in the areas of material assets, our personal values, and perhaps our innate talents and gifts.

This could indicate some sort of breakdown in how we acquire our income. Although this may be troubling at first, it merely indicates a shift in our material resources. Sagittarius, this does not mean that we are doomed to bankruptcy, but simply that the source of our income may be changing. The initial breakdown phase of a Pluto transit is what we tend to find troubling. When we first see these changes on the horizon it may indicate, for a time, a decrease in our earning capacity. This is to be expected, however, as we are transforming this area of our lives. After we have set up a new method of securing our income we can expect that there will be a comparable improvement to our income even though at first this is not usually the case.

Our personal values are even more likely to be influenced by this transit, Sagittarius. We may not be quite as aware of this, however, because financial considerations may prove to be rather worrisome, at least at first. This can keep us from focusing on the transformation to our value system, but perhaps this is where we should focus our attention now. To do so may very well open the doors to possibilities we had never considered before. This could be a time when we can benefit from a talentwe had never considered to be of much use before.
